Anna will first identify the source of your body's pain patterns through analyzing your posture and movement as well as look at various lifestyle factors that can contribute to pain. She will then guide you towards releasing and stretching out the tight restrictions whilst strengthening and revitalizing the weak areas by giving you a personalized home program. This will most likely include foam and ball rolling, specific stretches, core exercises, strengthening weak stabilizer muscles as well as overall postural retraining. Along with this she will help you identify some basic lifestyle changes such as sleep patterns, diet or stress reduction techniques.

Anna’s mission is to inspire you to look after your body with a simple home program that will ultimately allow you to lessen pain so you can move with greater ease and do the things in life that sustain and inspire you. 


Practitioner Bio

Anna Topf is a certified Kinesiologist, aka, "Exercise Therapist" and has been a practicing Kinesiologist since 2002 and over the years has helped hundreds of clients heal themselves. She does yearly courses to stay current in the field of Kinesiology. These courses include; becoming a CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach and CHEK Exercise Coach, learning Myofascial Release and Visceral Manipulation, getting certified in the Functional Movement Screen course I and II, as well as countless core training and stability training for the upper and lower body. Her love for movement and exploring her own potential as well as healing her own pain has taught her personally how to take care of the body. 

She loves pretty much anything in the outdoors including skiing, hiking, biking, paddleboarding, camping and gardening. Her 3 teenage kids keep her busy and inspired and so does her acreage that she lives on just outside of Nelson.

Anna graduated from the University of British Columbia with her degree in Kinesiology in 2000. She has trained with the CHEK institute and is a certified Exercise Coach and Holistic Lifestyle Coach as well as FMS2 and Myofascial Release Certified. She loves to continue learning new modalities and does research to stay current in the latest forms of movement therapy.

Anna loves to spend her time outdoors when possible. She can be found skiing, biking, hiking, paddle boarding, playing the guitar and gardening. She loves spending time doing these activities with her 3 teenage children as well as cooking delicious and healthy meals.
